Each program is tailored to you.
The Therapeutic Process
We address the root causes— —not just alignment.
The Equilibriodonzia® treatment plan is a personalized approach aimed at restoring balance to oral function by addressing the causes of oral dysfunction, rather than merely correcting the aesthetic alignment of the teeth.

The 5 stages
From the first appointment to a stable result.
Each phase is designed to assess, correct, and maintain the functional balance of the mouth.
01
Stage 01
Initial Visit and Evaluation
The process begins with a comprehensive evaluation during which the professional assesses the patient as a whole. The following are analyzed:
- Occlusion and the Relationships Between the Dental Arches
- Nasal or oral breathing
- Swallowing and Tongue Position
- Bilateral and Harmonious Chewing
- Posture and Possible Functional Compensations
- Symptoms reported by the patient
To support the diagnosis, photographs, digital scans, or dental models are taken, and, when necessary, X-rays are performed.
Stage 02
Personalized Treatment Plan
Based on the clinical evaluation, the healthcare professional determines the most appropriate treatment plan, selects the most suitable Eptamed medical device, and schedules follow-up visits.
- Selecting the Most Appropriate Eptamed Medical Device
- Scheduling of Follow-up Visits
- Customization based on age, functions, and goals
- Collaboration with other professionals as needed
Treatment is always tailored to the patient’s age, functional characteristics, and goals.
02
03
Stage 03
Therapy
The treatment involves the use of an Eptamed medical device, which should be worn as directed by a healthcare professional:
- Start with a lingual and/or nasal starter
- Eq Eptamed (daytime) for 1 hour
- Continuation through the night
- Functional exercises at specific times of the day
The device helps restore balance to the mouth’s primary functions, assisting the patient in improving nasal breathing, tongue positioning, swallowing, chewing, and the harmonious development of the dental arches.
Stage 04
Duration of Treatment
The average duration of therapy is approximately 24 months, depending on the patient’s age, clinical condition, and individual response to treatment.
- Average duration of approximately 24 months
- Periodic check-ins to monitor progress
- Assessment of Oral Function Development
- Adapting the protocol or device to the next phase
Throughout the course of treatment, periodic follow-up visits are scheduled to monitor progress, assess changes in oral function, and, if necessary, adjust the treatment plan.
04
05
Stage 05
Follow-up
At the end of the process, the results are reevaluated using photographs, scans, or final models, along with a new functional analysis.
- Reassessment with photographs and final scans
- New Comprehensive Functional Analysis
- Goal: Functional balance that remains stable over time
- Reduced Risk of Recurrence
The goal is not only to improve dental alignment, but above all to achieve a functional balance that remains stable over time, reducing the risk of relapse and promoting the well-being of the entire stomatognathic system.
